Broken Bracket
If a bracket becomes loose or detaches:
Leave it in place if it’s still attached to the wire
Cover with wax to reduce irritation
Call us to schedule a quick repair
Poking Wire
If a wire is poking your cheek:
Use a clean pencil eraser to gently push it down
Apply orthodontic wax over the area
Avoid cutting wires unless instructed
Soreness or Irritation
Rinse with warm salt water
Stick to soft foods
Use wax or take OTC pain relief as needed
Lost Spacer or Rubber Band
Call us right away so we can replace it and keep treatment on track
