Here’s what to do when something goes wrong with your braces:

Broken Bracket
If a bracket becomes loose or detaches:
• Leave it in place if it’s still attached to the wire
• Cover with wax to reduce irritation
• Call us to schedule a quick repair
Poking Wire
If a wire is poking your cheek:
• Use a clean pencil eraser to gently push it down
• Apply orthodontic wax over the area
• Avoid cutting wires unless instructed
Soreness or Irritation
• Rinse with warm salt water
• Stick to soft foods
• Use wax or take OTC pain relief as needed
Lost Spacer or Rubber Band
